Multi Challenge Rodney

My Mum asked me to make her a card to give to her next door neighbours and this is what I came up with.....hope they like it!

I have used my 'Rodney With Mistletoe' stamp which is available from Pink Gem Designs. I have coloured Rodney with Koh - I - Noor and Prisma Pencils with glamour dust added. Papers are once again 'Sweet Shoppe' by Zoe Pearn

New Guest DT

Morning everyone!

Pink Gem Designs would like to welcome our new Guest DT member Mandy of Crafty fox Cards. Mandy is fairly new to blogging but her cards are wonderful.....she also has some fab candy on there too......but hurry only a few more days left!

A few weeks ago some of you will remember we ran a competion for a stamp draw and the entrants had to make cards using Pink Gem Designs stamps.

We were also on the look out for new Guest DT members (3 month period). We wanted people that were not only good at making cards but also  love our stamps

There were some fabulous entries and it was very difficult to choose but we did narrow it down to a list of favourites so don't be surprised if we contact any of you over the coming months

 The first person to be chosen was Christine aka Nanaseaside who has just served her first month as GDT and if you check out her blog you will see her gorgeous cards!

Friday Sketchers

I followed a lovely sketch this week on Friday Sketchers and turned it into an easel card to give to my parents

I have used my 'Baby Polar Bear' stamp which is a new release from Pink Gem Designs

The image has been coloured with distress inks and glamour dust

DP is from Sweet Shoppe  by Zoe Pearn which I am loving at the moment

Sentiments have been computer generated

Snowy Sprinkles Meets 2 Challenges

My entry for this weeks Friday Sketchers and Allsorts Challenge where the theme is a title of a Christmas carol or song...... my song title is 'Merry Christmas'

I have used 'Snowy Sprinkles' which is available from Pink Gem Designs. I have  coloured her face and hair with Copics & paper pieced her clothes. I have added Flower Soft to the fur on her clothes and Glamour Dust to her wings and snowflakes.

You will need a large acrylic block as the stamp is a 'good size'.... we also sell these on our website

This is my first attempt at an easel card and I really enjoyed making it

Papertake Weekly / Winter Milly

My entry for this week Papertake Weekly following a sketch by the lovely Dawny.

I have used my 'Winter milly' stamp which is avaiable from Pink Gem Designs

Milly has been coloured with a mixture of Ciao Copic Markers and Koh-I-Noor pencils. I have added Flower Soft to the fur on her clothes and Stickles glitter glue to the snow

Something A Bit Different

 Something a bit different from me today. It is my dearest Mam's 75th birthday on Tuesday so I wanted to make her something a bit more elegant rather than my usual cutsie style of cards

A bit out of my comfort zone here but I did a bit of blog hopping for inspiration and I came across a beautiful card..... see here...... by Julie of 'Julies Inkspot' which inspired me to make this card

If you have never visited Julie's blog then you are in for a treat as her work is breathtaking!!

I used white Core-Dinations Card stock which I have inked up with chalk ink, a dovecraft stamp which I have had for ages and never used, sentiment printed on the computer & punched flowers and pearls

Montain Ash Crafts Demo

Had a lovely time at Mountain Ash Crafts today! I was showing how to watercolour my stamp images with Tim Holtz Distress Inks

I also met a few of the lovely people who frequently  pass by my blog ...... that is the nicest part of doing a demo!

I  managed to pick up a few crafty bits and peices that I have been looking for like Polar White Flower Soft, pale pink Stickles & Cut & Dry Foam.....oh and a few other things too!

By the Cute & Girly Challenge

What a dark and dismal afternoon again! Great card making weather but no good for taking photo's of them after they are finished........popped this one under the daylight lamp again....but it hasn't done it justice!

I am entering this card for the new By The Cute & Girly Challenge which takes place on the 1st of every month. This month the theme is 'Winter Wonderland'.

I have used my new stamp 'Mimi in Coat & Scarf' which is a new stamp just released from Pink Gem Designs. I have water coloured Mimi with distress inks and added lots of stickles to the fur on her clothes and to the snowflakes.

Pink Gem Designs was launched excactly one year ago today! We started selling from our blog with just 4 Mimi designs and soon things began to snowball. Following our success we launched a website in May last year and the business has since gone from strenth to strenth ......... we now have 138 stamp designs online! Ho Ho Ho!

What a dark and dismal day today is! I had to put this card under the daylight lamp to photograph it. Here is another Christmas card made using my 'Santa & Chimney' stamp and 'Ho Ho Ho' sentiment both available from Pink Gem Designs. I have coloured the image with Ciao Copic markers and gone for bright papers to try and cheer the day up! These are lovely  Cosmo Cricket papers and are called 'Jolly by Golly'
