Snowball Any One?
This blooming white stuff keeps on coming!
We had more fresh snowfall overnight and it's still snowing
I have just been for a walk with Gem and that's as far as I am going to day
Hubby has mangaed to get to work and has taken todays orders with him to post
So anyone who ordered yesterday your orders are on their way to you...........the rest is in the hands of Royal Mail lol!
Here is Gem in the garden after our walk and as you can see the snow is now up to her chest!
Don't be fooled by the glum expression though as she loves it and rubs her face in it
She always has a sad look bless her but she is a very happy little dog lol!
Not too sure if she is happy on this photo though as her poor little legs are heavy with snowballs!
She is stood in the utility refusing to walk as they are so heavy to lift lol!
I stood her in the utility sink with luke warm water and melted them way
She was much happier after that!

BRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!
I do like a white Christmas but things are getting OTT here in the UK
I have never known such cold temperatures
I feel so sorry for the people trapped in airpots etc that are trying to get home to see family for Christmas
The country is coming ro a standstill!
It took me ages to defrost the car this morning but I had orders to post and we don't like to let customers down.......We like to get orders off asap
The man who runs the post office said things are very slow postal wise at the moment
Anway on to Tesco I went after the PO......thought I better get some food in for Christmas before more bad weather arrives
I think everyone had the same idea as it was busy even though it was early
Well my boot wouldn't open......frozen solid...... so couldn't get my shopping bags out
When I came back out loaded with food (well it is Christmas and we are in the grip of an ice age lol!) the driver door wouldn't open.......fozen solid!
Slight panic set in but managed to open the passenger door to climb across and open it from the inside.
Driving home wasn't good even on the main roads it was slippy
I got near home and was coming to a junction and started to brake early and gently (as husband always reminds me of this in icy conditions) nothing happened..... kept moving yikes!
I panicked a bit at this stage as traffic was coming down the hill on the road I was joining so I pressed a bit harder......probably more than I should have........still kept sliding forward.....
.........then the car stopped just in time.......phew!!!!!!!!!!
I hope things warm up again in the UK soon!
Anyway a Very Merry Christmas Everyone.......where ever you may be!

What's All This Mum?
We had our first real snowfall yesterday.......it didn't stop all day!
We only had about half an inch last week when the rest of the country seemed to be snowed in
Heres Gem enjoying the snow although she does look puzzled in the first photo lol
Excuse the poor photography as she is hopeless to photograph........she keeps walking towards me!

Spring Is In The Air!
...........I wish lol!
It's not stopped snowing here all morning much like the rest of the UK
I am so pleased we did the present run up to Lancashire last weekend instead of this
One of my sons has phoned from Bolton to say he has never seen so much snow and the M6 is gridlocked
Anyway on to my card
I have used the sketch below which I posted yesterday
I couldn't find many challenges not Christmas releated but found 3
I have used 'Spring Chloe' and coloured her with a mixture of 'Prisma Pencils' & ProMarkers
Chloe has been stamped with Memento Ink 'Rich Cocoa' this makes the image appear much softer than stamping in black
I paper pieced her Jacket
The DP is my own design which can be found in a post below as a freebie

Mimi Meets Santa!
We travelled up north to Lancashire last weekend to take our Grandchildrens Christmas presents
We wanted to pass them on to 'Santa' so he could deliver them on Christmas Eve
We were planning the weekend before Christmas but it's forcast another cold snap so we made a move while the weather was 'warmer' lol
We went with our youngest grandchild Mia to a animal petting farm near Bolton
Santa clause was in residence with his Reindeer!
Mimi always goes a bit shy when she meets strange men lol!
It was well worth it.......a present...... and Mimi got to meet rudolf and feed him a special reindeer treat which Santa gave her
......and afterwoulds Grandma & Mimi got to play with the guinea pigs!

The Trials and Tribulations Of A New Christmas Tree!
We decided to go very minimalistic this year with our Christmas Decs
We couldn't face rearanging the furniture to accomodate our very large Christmas Tree which usualy takes up one corner of the loung. It involves us emptying a large cuboard and carrying it to the dining room and it seems like only two minutes since last Christmas (Is this a sign we are getting old!)So I went out to buy a small tree which would sit on top of the cuboard.
When I got to the store and saw the small trees on offer I thought 'Nah......don't want one of those'
I ended up with a six footer not so wide pre-lit (not for the cuboard but to put in front of the lounge window)
Now I went for pre-lit thinking this was an easy option.....don't be fooled!
The lights were all uneven and as they were attached to the tree it was a right job trying to get them even
Whats more I had just forked out £100 for this damn thing and bits were snapping off left right and centre
The lights were greeny white on the bottom two sections and pure white on the top section Grrrr!
The one on the shop floor wasn't like that!
So the tree was dismantled pushed back into the box and taken back to 'The Range' for a refund
So if you go to 'The Range' and you like the look of a pre-lit 'Sherwood' please be warned lol!
Next stop B&Q.........where I picked up another 6 foot not so wide cream tree and seperate lights for a fraction of the price I paid for the 1st tree
Hubby wasn't so keen when I walked in with a cream tree but he did like it when it was dressed
So here it is ........kept the decs minimal
I usualy dress up the fireplace with a garland & lights but kept it simple this year

Merry Christmas Mam & Dad
Well all the Christmas decorations are up today including the outside lights
What a cold job that was especially for hubby as he was up the ladders.......treacherous too as the ground was covered in black ice
All the snow had more or less gone here yesterday as we never had much in the first place
Freezing fog overnight though and I couldn't lift the latch on the back gate this morning when I took little Gem for a walk.......frozen solid!
Really scary underfoot too.......had to walk really slow......don't want a broken leg for Christmas!
I do want an ipod though.......so Santa if your reading this lol!!
Anyway enough waffle and on to my card
I made this for my parents......started it yesterday and managed to finish it off this afternoon
