Swinging Chloe

I wanted a break from design work today

I felt the need to get my fingers inky and throw my craft desk into chaos

I never seem to get enough time for crafting these days as Pink Gem Designs keeps me busy in other ways

I should have been doing some house work really.....but never mind lol!

I have a wholesale order to pack now so that will see the rest of the day off

Anyway onto my card

I will try and find some challenges to enter it to this evening if I get time

So any challenge tip offs will be most welcome!

Skateboard Andy

I have been working on a new decoupage sheet today from one of my new designs 'Skateboard Andy'

These are great for when you need to make a card quickly

I will be making a new set of matching dowload papers especialy for all the little boys in your lives

So watch this space over the next few days

For those of you who like to get your fingers inky 'Skateboard Andy' will be released as a polymer stamp in a couple of weeks

What a lovely quote...........it inspired me to design this circle sentiment

This is a new polymer stamp which will be onsale at the end of the week with several other sentiment stamps

I have used  DP from the 'Cutie Pie' download paper pack  from here

These are a dream to work with.........can't stop printing them!

Edges have been sponged with Memento 'Angel Pink'

I have teamed them with my favorite stamp at the moment 'Spring Chloe'

Coloured with ProMarkers and Primas

Sentiment will be onsale on the Pink Gem Designs Website towards the end of the week

Tip:- Try stamping in brown ink for  a change instead of black.........I have used Memento 'Rich Cocoa'

As you can see it gives a much softer appearance to the image

New Guest DT

Jackie Semark of  Days in the Life of....... will be joining us as a Guest Designer at Pink Gem Designs during the next 3 months

She will also join the A Gem of a Challenge team and take her place in Challenge 13

We can't wait to see her PGD creations

On a sad note Sharon will be leaving us at the end of the month to concentrate all her efforts on her new business

A Gem of a Challenge 12

Well this is my second post today because it's  A Gem of a Challenge Day where the first challenge for 2011  has started too. From now on we are going fortnightly so don't forget to come and join in with us!

We have a new DT girl Sandra and two new guest DT's Katie & Caroline who will be joining us for the next 3 months

So pop over and see theirs and the rest of our lovely DT girls fabby creations!

Here is my challenge card

I am very excited  as my new 'Cutie Pie' baby girl papers which I used on my card have just gone onsale on the Pink Gem Designs website

I have also designed two decoupage sheets to match the baby boy and baby girl papers

I have used these on both of todays cards and you can see them all here

(please be aware these are low resolution  pictures for copyright purposes.......the origionals are high resolution 300dpi  Jpeg files which are made to print on A4 Sheets. They can be resized with a graphics programme if needed)

Just cut the shapes out and build them up with silicone glue or foam pads!

Lovely Lisa who runs the challenge asked me if I would also participate with the DT this month and make a card

Well here it is!

I have used my new baby boy papers and the decoupage kit which you simply print, cut out and build up the pieces using foam pads or silicone glue

It's also a new challenge day at A Gem of a Challenge so I will be back later to post my challenge card

 Tip:- After you cut your peices brush lightly  around the edges with a light coloured grey Copic or ProMarker to hide any white card left behind (side of the brush only to the side edge of the card)

Oh Boy!
