This is my entry for this weeks Papertake Weekly Challenge. The Challenge this week is "Seeing Spots" You have to make a card using spots, dots or circles. The image I have used is my new Fox Cub stamp which is available to order from our spring releases over at Pink Gem Designs.
Anyone who visits my blog regulary will know my favorite colouring medium at the moment is Tim Holtz Distress Inks which I apply with a water brush. Another lady who likes to use distress inks to watercolour is the very talented Christine Dark. I just love the smokey backgrounds she adds to her stamp images. Christine has kindly made a video and posted it on her blog to show how she acheives her beautiful works of art. I decided after watching the video to have a go myself and above is the result! It's not too bad for a first attempt but I will need lots of practice before I reach Christines standard. X

ReplyDeleteGreat card Janet, your fox is such a cutie. I've seen Chris' tutorial and love the way she is so bold sloshing all that black around. I need to invest in some distress inks so I can have a go too. This technique looks fab on your card.
