Just Fabosaurus!

When I posted the image of the new digi stamp Dino last Sunday I said he would have some friends joining him........well I have been busy the last 3 days designing these digi stamps and papers :)
You can buy the main characters separately Dino, Dina and Terry or you can buy them in a set containing some accessories.
The set has 10 separate digis in blackline & colour..... jpg & png . That's 4 files for each digi!
The images showing here are low res for copyright purposes but you will recieve 40 - 300dpi image files.
You can create your own 'Fabosaurus' scenes!
If you understand the layering technique you can put the layers together in a graphics programme using the png files......print it out and colour it in.
You can also do this with the pre coloured files too.
I make coloured files as well with my digis as some crafters are not too confident with their own colouring and there are times when us colouring in fans need to make a card in a hurry lol
This set is great for all the digital scrapbookers too and I have made the matching papers 12"x12" with them in mind.....but don't worry paper crafters as these papers print lovely on A4 paper as I tried it this afternoon :)
You can download a graphic programme called GIMP for free but if you don't want to try layering digitally you can print the files as normal and cut them out with scissors and mount the pieces on foam pads and these would also make 'Fabby Fabosaurus' cards

You can find tall he Dinosaur digis here and the papers here

Must go get some tea now as I am starving!

Introducing Dino

Introducing Dino our latest Digi release!
4 files are included in this bundle
1 blackline JPEG
1 blackline PNG
1 Coloured JPEG
1 Coloured PNG

The blackline version will leave the image white so you can colour yourself.
For those who are not confident at colouring or need to make a card quickly the coloured  JPEG & PNG files will be very useful!
The image shown is low resolution with copyright info
All images you will receive  will be high resolution 300 dpi without copyright info

Watch out for more of Dino's friends making an appearance ver soon!

Buying a New Property in the UK?

Then please beware of the pitfalls!

Buyers beware....do not buy a house from Taylor Wimpeyhttp://www.facebook.com/taylorwimpey . We bought a new house eight years ago and still the roads have not been finished and adopted by the council. There is another estate a couple of miles away who have been waiting twelve years for the roads on their estate to be finished and adopted by the council. We formed a residents association and have been fighting for the roads to be completed for the last eight years........we have now taken to picketing new Wimpey estates in our local vicinity to warn other potential buyers of the pitfalls of buying from Taylor Wimpey. If you would like to show your support please leave a comment on the Taylor Wimpey FB page and let them know your thoughts!http://www.facebook.com/taylorwimpey/likes

The Great British Cuppa

Here is another 'British' digi release from Pink Gem Designs using the 'Great British Cuppa'.
Great for Birthdays, Fathers Day etc as Patriotism is the theme this Summer with the Olympic Games and our Queens 'Diamond Jubilee' looming.
Personally I will be in Greece during the Royal celebrations but I will drink a few glasses of wine to toast Queen Elizabeth's 60 year reign....not that I will need much of an excuse to down a few glasses of my favorite tipple lol
So guess which 'Keep Calm' themed digi  will be next? Well  I think you may have guessed lol!

You can find all of our 'Best of British' digis here

Edited to say :- here is the other one I just came up with!

Spring Time on the Farm

Our little granddaughter  Mimi has been staying with us for a few days.
On Friday we took her to Cotswold Farm Park which is about an hours drive from where we live.
If you have never been here before and you have young children it is well worth a visit.
As you can see Mimi got to handle some of the baby animals.
We were even allowed into the lambing shed where sheep were giving birth although we were in between seeing them actually born. One sheep was in heavy labour and had given birth to one lamb with two inside her still (they have scans just like humans).....she could have been another hour in labour so we had to move on as Mimi was getting impatient.
Two had been born just before we arrived.... their little legs were wobbling all over the place and they still had their cords swinging from their tummies......Mimi knew straight away what they were as she got a new baby brother last Christmas and she remembered him having a cord attached to his tummy button lol.
As you can see she had lots more fun feeding the animals out in the fields, driving a tractor and in the playpark!

Keep Calm it's a Girl

Here is a simple baby card made with my 'Keep Calm it's a Baby Girl' digi

You may be wondering how I changed the background of the poster from plain  pink to dotty paper.
This really is quite simple......all you need is a  photo edtiing  or  graphics programme......any which supports layers. You can download one called GIMP for free .
You open your chosen digi paper (as you can see I used Micro Dots)  then on another layer open the 'White PNG' file of the design. The PNG is transparent and shows only words and feet....but the dotty paper shows behind it.......click the print button and thats it!
The possibilities are endless
You can find the digi stamp here
It comes with 4 files....2 JPG & 2 PNG
I have used the new Nestabilities Romantic Retangles behind the designs......love these as they are such large dies......I have used the second size down :)

The Story of the 'Keep Calm and Carry On' Poster

Millions of copies of the "Keep Calm and Carry On" poster were printed on the eve of World War II, but never displayed. Now the message has taken on a new lease of life in our troubled peacetime.
The simple five-word message is the very model of British restraint and stiff upper lip. Keep calm and carry on.
In 1939, with war against Germany looming, the Government designed three posters to steady the public's resolve and maintain morale. These featured the crown of King George VI set against a bold red background, and three distinctive slogans - "Freedom is in Peril", "Your Courage, Your Cheerfulness, Your Resolution Will Bring Us Victory", and "Keep Calm and Carry On".
Two-and-a-half million copies of "Keep Calm" were printed, to be distributed in the event of a national catastrophe, but remained in storage throughout the war.
The message was all but forgotten until 2000, when a copy was discovered in a box of books bought at auction by Stuart Manley, a bookseller from Northumberland.

Keep Calm and Carry On!

Just wanted to show these new 'Keep Calm' sentiments I have been working on.
You can alter the size and use them as a sentiment or make them big enough to cover the whole of the card front....that's the beauty of digis!
The first one is a take on the propaganda poster produced by the British Government in 1939 during the beginning of the Second World War, intended to raise the morale of the British public in the event of invasion.
As you can see I have had a bit of fun with the other three lol
Each design has 4 files....1 blackline jpg, one colour jpg, 1 white png and one black png all high res 300dpi without copyright info attached.
The images shown here are low res with copyright info attached
You can find them all here

Candy Winner Is.......

.......no 25 Sandra H!

Congratulations sweetie.......if you would like to contact me at pinkgemdesigns@gmail.com I will send you the stamp asap:)
