Santorini

Just booked my Jollydays to go to Santorini, Greece in July . It is a place I have always wanted to go to. We have been to a few of the Greek islands and we love them. Santorini is a volcanic island and is supposed to be very pretty and romantic. Anybody been??

Tagged Twice!

I have been tagged twice first my the lovely talented Deborah and secondly a lovely lady called Juliet whos cards are such a source of inspiration they have to be seen to be believed!

I have to answere some very difficult questions so here goes


If a movie was being made of your life who would you like to be cast to play yourself? and why?
Thats a tough one! I could think of two people who could play my parents instead, Jack and Vera Duckworth from Coronation street, they are just like them lol

You are spending a whole month on a desert island for charity and you have to choose your favourite celebrity to spend the first two weeks with & your least favourite celebrity to spend the second two weeks with, who would they be & why? I think Mel Gibson would be my choice of favorite celebrity to spend the first two weeks with and for the second two weeks my least favorite celeb would be David Platt from Corry. As long as he brings his iron bar with him then he can crack open all the coconuts!

What are your three favourite crafting products
Flowers, Ribbon, and stamps

If you could invent something to do anything what do you think it would be?
A food replicater like they have on Startreck. I hate cooking especially when trying to craft at the same time lol

What are the last three books that you read
Can't remember! It's been that long. I read a lot of magasines, I find it hard to concentrate reading books these days.

C+C, when I first started crafting I found it fascinating but now it bores me a bit.

I am going to be in Simply Cards and Papercraft on May 29th

First Competition Win In Print

Here is my first competition win in this months issue of Quick Cards Made Easy Issue 48. I was one of 20 lucky winners to recieve £50 worth of Fiskars products for designing a Spring Birthday Card

My new stamps from Panduro in sweden have arrived at last! I ordered about 11 days ago and was begining to wonder where they had got to. The company stated 6/8 days delivery time. Can't wait to have a play as they look soooo sweet!X

Sweet Sugar Challenge

Got home from work last night to find my new Sugar Nellies had arrived. I just had to have a little play this morning before I got ready for work. Now I really must go jump in the shower lol.X This is my entry for this weeks Sweet Sugar Challenge. The challenge is no patterned paper just cardstock. I printed dots on Bazzill cardstock using the computer.

Thursday- Just added another card made with one of my new Nellie stamps. This one is called Lola's Tea Party.

The "Arte Y Pico" award

I have been given these awards, this time by the lovely Sharon ( think I gave the make my day award to her last time lol) Anyway I was very pleased to recieve them and I am now supposed to pass them on to other members. The problem is my list of favorite blogs is not that long and most have already had them. So I am going to award these to everybody I "know" in the blogging world as I have gained so much inspiration from them and all the fabulous members on the Docrafts card making forum who have encouraged and spurd me on with my card making! Sorry for not playing the rules properly but these awards just keep going backwards and forwards!

Sooooo Excited!

I sent three cards to Simply Cards and Papercraft over the last few weeks in hope of them being published in the readers gallery. I have just had a phone call from the editor and she said she would like to do a two page spread about me called Introducing...... I have to send four more cards and fill in a questionare about myself. I am so thrilled! I have posted some pictures of the cards I sent. The pink one was made with last months free papers from the magasine.

The article is going to be in Issue 46 onsale May 29th

Lucky Phase!

I am going through a lucky phase lately with my card making. I recieved an email the other day from Design Objectives asking for my endorsement to use my forum pic on the back of May/Junes edition of the Do Crafts magasine as an ad for the forum. I replied giving my permission and I have just recieved these lovely goodies in the post as a thank you. How cool is that?

Won Some Blog Candy!!!

I am so excited!!!!!!! My blog has only been up and running just over a week and already I have won some gorgeous blog candy from the lovely Debby over at A Scrapjourney She had 78 posts made on her Di Hickman Challenge which she posted on Sunday 30th March. She printed the posts and got her DH to draw them from a bag (with his hairy arm lol) and guess what he pulled out...... my post!!! I am still in shock! I am so thrilled so thank you so much Debby and please give your hubby a big kiss from me!
