Some of you may remember me starting a diet a while back.........well it's been 2 months now and I have lost 8lb. I am a bit dissapointed as I have been really good......thought I would have shed a stone by now. I could do that when I was young but I think age and metabolism play a big part now........never mind I will keep on plodding in the right direction......only 6lb to go :)
I managed to do it myself in the end without joining WW online or a meeting

Oh hun, 8lb is brilliant! I know it is disheartening when it doesn't drop off like it used to (I am so familiar with that issue) but slow and steady wins the race and it will stay off longer, I promise. Keep going babes, you'll get there soon. Hugs Sxx
Well done, I'm dieting at the moment too. xxx
Well done Janet.. am not gonna tell you how much Ive lost nice surprise when I see you in June..LOL
Cant get me walks in at mo still poorly been to Docs 2day got Pleurisy of all things..
smiles Christine xx
Well done on the weight loss Janet - my philosophy is that the slower the weight drops off, the more likely it is to stay off! (Mind you, that's coming from someone who just cannot get motivated to eat enough fruit/veg or exercise regularly LOL!)
Keep going with what you are doing and you will soon reach your goal.
Love, Andrea xx
Way to go Janet (pun intended, heehee)....I have weigh more than that to lose, lol....and age and metabolism definitely make a difference....just sayin'...x
Woo Hoo Janet, way to go. 8lb in the right direction. Slow but sure, means you'll have a better chance of keeping these lbs off in the future because of the little changes you have made over the 2 months. As the brighter weather arrives it means lighter eating. When the sun shines we don't need comfort food as much. Think happy thoughts and the 6lbs will melt away quicker than you think. Keep it up. :-) xx
thats good going hun, keep at it love, i have been at a standstill for 2 months now - kind of had a [ig out weekend, followed by the dreadful sickness bug that is going around lol
take care, sarah x
Well done Janet, its no mean feat as we get older. I seem to get stuck on one weight and never go below it, how come I can go other it though!! Keep it up and well done on doing it on your own.
Congratulations on losing 8lbs. You have done very well. I have lost 7lbs in THREE months which is a drag. Keep trying and the lbs will fall off.

Well done Janet :)
That's fantastic.
Love,Mel. xx
Well done. 8 lbs is great. You must notice a difference. It is harder as we get older. The hardest part is keeping off. I have lost 22 lbs since September. I feel great but you get complacent and have to be so careful. Keep it up. I hope you will post before and after snaps!!
Congrats on ur weight loss. Keep up the gud work. Luv ur blog. Lorraine x
a lb a week is great - loose it slowly and it will be easier to keep off! Well done x
8lbs - brill. Do not be disappointed, that's a lb a week and that is a healthy weight loss, one that you're more likely to keep off! Congrats :)
keep it up - it takes timeand is harder when you get holder
Hi Janet....
Ohh...It's such a drag I know but that is really good...We got Wii fit in our house last year and I think I lasted 6 days in a row. Pulled it out from under the t.v yesterday and I was the same weight at least.. would have loved to see a loss of a few pounds.
Keep going!!!
Well done Janet you are doing fab! I'm rubbish with diets and have remained the smae weight for a few years now, really should be more healthy like you! Esp as you are doing it on your own! Hugs Rebekah xx
Thats really good hun, don't be disappointed with that loss - it does get harder as you get older. I am due to start my diet next Tuesday - it will be hardgoing but has to be done. Hugs, Claire x
I know what you mean, Janet - I find it much harder to lose it now I'm in my 40s! But I think 8lb is brilliant! Not long to go!!
Well done Janet, at least you are loosing, and Im sure your right it isnt easy to loose weight as you get older, but Im sure your get there in the end with your determination. with hugs Shirleyxxx
