Fleur De Lis Digi Paper

I must apologize for my absence in blogland lately........blame it on the weather!

It is just too nice to be indoors making cards and blog hopping

I have however managed to make some new download papers for my 'Colour Collection' range.

I tend to make these in the early hours of the morning when I can't sleep

Those of you who already have some of my 'Colour Collections' will know that they all come in the same 20 colours so you can mix and match them together

These four which I have just created are my 'Fleur De Lis' range

They look superb printed out especialy the stripey one!

These will go onsale as soon as hubby does his website thing

He is at work at the moment though and is very tied up

I have just got back from my Tesco shop and it's all unpacked...... so I am off to top up my tan lol!

Weight Loss - Update

Some of you may remember me starting a diet a while back.........well it's been 2 months now and I have lost 8lb. I am a bit dissapointed as I have been really good......thought I would have shed a stone by now. I could do that when I was young but I think age and metabolism play a big part now........never mind I will keep on plodding in the right direction......only 6lb to go :)

I managed to do it myself in the end without joining WW online or a meeting

I made my own background paper by slapping on some Crackle Paint around the edges of some white corded card

The square behind the Floral Doily Motif was stamped with pink butterfly stamps although these are mostly covered up

The image has been watercoloured with distress inks

Crackle Embellishments

I just love making these 'Crackle Paint' Embellishments

You will have noticed them on nearly every card I make these days.....I have a 'Crackle Addiction' lol!

I prepared a lot yesterday and left them to dry overnight

This morning I added distress ink around the edges and pearls

We call them 'Biscuits' on the Do Craft Forum as they look like iced biscuits

I did 'bake' quite a few so the ones pictured will be for sale on Ebay later

Ellie & Rolled Up Roses

We have had a lovely day and been out to lunch with our daughter & partner for 'Mothers Day'

I managed to get this card finished before we went out

Yesterday I made my first rolled up roses and I have added them to my card

I spent yesterday afternoon experimenting with  making home made flowers as I prefer the look of them  to the ready made ones

I think I must get abducted by aliens when I go to play in my craft room as I seem to  have been in there for about a hour and find that 2 or 3 hours have gone by lol!

Challenge 18

Sorry I am a bit late today posting my challenge card for 'A Gem of a Challenge' 18

We have been inundated with orders for the Nesties which are reduced for April and the half price stamps which have just been added to the website

The result has been me packing orders all day yesterday and this morning

I wanted to catch the post this morning as there is only the one collection on a Saturday and I know how you all like to recieve your goodies asap!

Anyway on to the challenge

I wasn't happy with this card to be honest and nearly made another but just didn't get the time

I love Denzil but wasn't happy with the papers I chose

Had these in the cuboard for ages so thought it was time to get them used

Unfortunately  bought papers don't do it for me anymore as I like to print out on to linen card for a luxorious

effect
